On March 12, 2025, another lecture in our project took place. This time, the audience was teachers and students from the General F. Kleeberg Elementary School in Wola Gułowska. During the lecture, Prof. Arkadiusz Indraszczyk introduced the audience to the concept of human rights, the history of their introduction into state systems, and their role in protecting the individual from the state apparatus. The system of protecting human rights in Poland and the European Union was also presented, with particular attention paid to the role of independent courts and the possibility of appealing against first-instance judgments.
One of the human rights is the right to information. It was a kind of methodological challenge of the lecture, in which, due to the age of the majority of the audience, it was necessary to avoid scientific expressions commonly used in science and public debate. Considering the quality of the students' conversations and statements during the lecture, it seems that it was possible to convey the content related to human rights in an appropriate and understandable way for them.
