On May 23, 2025, another lecture was held as part of the Jean Monnet project. This time, we were guests at the Municipal Office in Jeziorany, where Professor Arkadiusz Indraszczyk gave a lecture entitled "Human Rights in the European Union" and the audience was employees of the Office and residents of the Jeziorany commune.

During the lecture, what human rights are was explained, the system of human rights protection in the European Union was discussed, drawing attention to the fact that this system exists at the level of the Member States, the Council of Europe and the European Union. Particular attention was also paid to the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the activities of the European Ombudsman, as well as the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. There was also a discussion on problems with the interpretation of human rights, mainly in the area of ​​social and economic rights, as well as on complaint procedures, taking into account the time of filing a complaint. It was also emphasized that the purpose of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights is to monitor the quality of human rights protection in the European Union and to seek new solutions aimed at improving the system of human rights protection.
