On April 22, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a lecture entitled "Healthcare Systems: Addressing Inequalities in Health" was given by Associate Professor Fatma Kantas Yilmaz from the University of Health Sciences, Istanbul, Türkiye. During the lecture, Assoc. Prof. Fatma Kantas Yılmaz highlighted social determinants of health and social gradient in health, which also take into account the natural environment, professional circumstances and personal life. Data on healthcare access in countries, healthcare quality, life expectancy and so on were also discussed. Assoc. Prof. Fatma also discussed healthcare systems and financing models, highlighting the challenges they face.
